Grief & Business

From Anxiety Medication to Fearless Expansion

How a grieving father dissolved his deepest fear and built a business he was proud of.

8 Sessions

Name and identifying details have been changed to protect client privacy.

Let me tell you about a man who was winning at everything on the outside, and slowly dying on the inside.

Arjun was a successful IT contractor. Multiple clients. Growing revenue. A wife. A daughter he adored. By every external measure, he had made it.

But here is the part nobody saw.

His father died suddenly. And in the space where grief should have lived, something else moved in: pure, unrelenting fear. Fear of his own death. Fear that if he died, his daughter would grow up without a father, the same way his world had just collapsed.

“I know I am doing good, but I am doing it with some fear that triggers at times.”

That fear drove everything. It drove him to work harder, longer, with more intensity. It drove him to a psychiatrist. To medication. To a place where every business decision was filtered through a single question: what if I die tomorrow?

He was running a successful business on the fuel of terror. And the tank was running dry.

The False Belief

When Arjun came to work with Nav at Temple of Mind, he believed his problem was anxiety. That the fear of dying needed to be managed, controlled, medicated.

What Nav uncovered was something entirely different.

The fear was not about death. It was about his father. Specifically, it was about everything his father never said, never expressed, never communicated. Arjun had inherited not just his father’s grief, but his father’s pattern: the inability to express love, presence, and vulnerability.

His father never once told him he loved him. And now Arjun was replicating that exact silence in his own marriage, in his own fatherhood, in his own life.

The fear of dying was not the root. It was the symptom of an unresolved conversation with a man who was no longer alive to have it.

The Breakthrough

Over the course of eight sessions, Nav took Arjun through a process most people have never experienced. Not talk therapy. Not journaling. Not reframing.

Dissolution.

They went into the specific moments, the exact memories, where the belief systems were formed. They found the benefits of his father’s death across every area of his life: health, wealth, wisdom, business, spirituality, relationships, social leadership. Not to minimize the loss. To see the full picture.

And then came the moment that changed everything.

Nav guided Arjun through a visualization. Eyes closed. Breathing deeply. And in that space, his father appeared. They spoke. Arjun said the things he never got to say. His father said the things he never could.

At the end, Nav asked the question he asks every client after deep dissolution work:

“This is your magic wand. I can wave this, and everything disappears. The pain, the growth, the lessons. Everything. But you go back to exactly who you were before. Do you want me to wave it?”

Arjun’s answer:

“You know the answer. The way I am right now, the way I have changed myself... if he himself is looking at me right now, he would be so proud. No amount of money would make me as happy as this feeling.”

The Results

  • Off anxiety medication entirely.
  • Business expanded to the point of hiring: "I might have to hire people. That is expansion."
  • Revenue trajectory: $80,000 to $100,000 annual growth pipeline.
  • Quit a long-standing substance habit after years of believing he could not.
  • Spending deliberate quality time with his wife and daughter despite 12-hour workdays.
  • Communicating feelings openly for the first time in his adult life.

When asked how much of his transformation he attributed to the sessions, Arjun did not hesitate:

“90% is something that came directly from here.”

And when asked if he could imagine having these conversations with anyone else:

“I cannot even imagine myself talking about these things with anyone else, whether it is a number one psychiatrist in the world.”

Arjun did not need another strategy. He did not need another book. He did not need more medication. He needed someone to take him into the moments that created the fear, dissolve them at the root, and give him back the relationship with his father that death had seemingly taken away.

That is what Temple of Mind does. Not management. Dissolution. And the results speak for themselves.
